A VISIT TO SAINT PETERSBURG
Late August - Early September 1998
In commemoration of the bicentennial of the founding of the Russian Grand Priory by His Imperial Majesty Paul I, the Sovereign Order of Orthodox Knights Hospitaller of Saint John of Jerusalem is sponsoring a visit to the city of Saint Petersburg. This excursion to the former imperial capital will take place in the last week of August and the first of September. There will be special functions and receptions in palaces related to the Russian Grand Priory, as well as visits to the locations of present humanitarian outreach by the Sovereign Orthodox Order in the Saint Petersburg area. Sightseeing opportunities and visits to the Ballet and Opera will also be arranged.
